GLENFINNAN
In this article I will tell you about Glenfinnan which is a place I visited in the Scottish Highlands. It is located at the northern end of Loch Shiel at the foot of Glen Finnan.
This place is known historically and is occupied by a monument paying homage to the men of the clan who fought and died in the Jacobite cause.

Glenfinnan is also known for "The Jacobite Steam Train", a steam train of the West Coast Railway Company. This train, just before arriving at Glenfinnan, in the direction of Mallaig, takes a spectacular viaduct. This
viaduct was made famous by the movie "Harry Potter and the House of
Secrets", where the Jacobite Steam Train is turned into a Hogwarts
Express was filmed crossing the viaduct.
Thanks to harry potter's
film, this place has become particularly touristy where it has become
possible to board the Jacobite steam train for the biggest fans and
immerse yourself in an incredible experience. The most
exciting part of the trip for the most part will be crossing the
beautiful Victoria Glenfinnan viaduct and admiring the scenery. The
train will stop at Glenfinnan Station where you can visit the West
Highland Railway Museum located in the train station building. You can find more information and book here: http://www.graylinetours.com/tours/highland-potter-steam-train-journey/
For me it is a place where there is calm, serenity and beautiful landscapes to get there. It's easy to dive into the magic of Harry Potter, again I recommend the Glenfinnan experience !
